书法如果不与科学結合,它将会死亡。

Chinese Calligraphy is going to die, unless it becomes more scientific.

 

书法全球教育必须具备“科学性与技术性”("Science-ness & Technolegi-nesss")

即:科学的书法全球教育依赖于技术工具的教育思想,这里所说的“技术”是来自“科学技术”中的“技术/Technolegy”。

我们称:Technolegy talks calligraphy(技术讲述书法-一种未来性)

 

海外书法教育还未进入启蒙阶段,却已经死亡了,我们通过近十年的经验与实践,得出以下结论:

我们还未看到海外书法教学的成功案例,不合格教学模式居多,来美国的大陆教师均不符合美国招收教师的基本标准,美国招收教师必须具备所在学科的专业能力,并具有丰富的教学经验。大陆派去的教师均不合格,原因是:

1)受过专业教育的书法专业人士没有对外书法教学经验和英文能力;

2)聘用有英文能力的教师作为书法教师,却未受过书法专业教育,依然教不了书法。

结论:以上两类书法老师都不合格,对外书法教育和传播前途未卜。

 

基于这种现状,约翰 · 摩根全球汉字研发实验室正在试验一种新的(发明)海外书法教学新体系,这就是:“心印海外书法教学体系/XinYin Chinese Calligraphy Teaching for Non-native Chinese Speakers.”

 

心印,东方佛学术语。禅之本意,不立文字,不依言语,直以心为印,故曰心印。谓之以心传心,以心印心,心心不异。从西方的科学角度理解“心印”,“心印”与脑神经科学殊途同归了。“心印”概念与脑神经科学分支中的镜像神经元(Mirror Nuerons)理论与定义十分吻合。镜像神经元理论认为脑神经元与“模仿/mimic”和“同情心/empathy”有密切关联,更多体现在模仿(mimic/Mimesis匹配外界情绪(match moods)的行为。

 

DNA研究人类的基因结构,镜像神经元决定我们能否塑造文明。传统书法学习不仅是一种技能模仿式学习也是一种鲁棒性(Robustness)的控制法则,犹如我们学习古典音乐,规则的控制与模仿至关重要。人类为什么如此频繁而大量地进行模仿?自从1992年科学家发现镜像神经元以来,镜像神经元成为了解释这一疑问的最好的科学依据,同时,通过使用“技术教育”手段,镜像神经元也会帮助我们解决书法国际教育和跨文化中难以解决的问题。事实上,世界中国学研究会已经在用镜像神经元理论与书法文化结合实施跨学科研究了。镜像神经元用于跨文化研究可极大的有益于东方文化的海外传播。镜像神经元细胞与主体实现“点火/fire up”连接与模仿,“心印”书法教学本身具备了镜像神经元的一种基本认知程序,我们创建了镜像神经元在主客体间模仿与认知程序的数学公式Uc1+(D2+U3)=I4/M4,书法借用与镜像神经元理论并与之结合,这是最科学的教学思想。我们坚持以科学技术手段和理念,“去书法教师”(E-XINYIN LARNING ORIENTED) 打破旧的传统教学理念 ,将科学技术全部融入书法海外教学之中,我们基本上再不需要书法教师以旧的方式教授今天来自全世界的书法学习者,学生用书以及教学用书全部将交给学习者。我们会运用更多的艺术设计语言加上技术的手法为教具来教授书法,这些教学方法有利于远程教育,更有意义和令人兴奋的是,“心印海外书法教学体系”以及镜像神经元与书法研究的未来一定会成为人工智能沉浸式教育与“深度学习”(Deep Learning)基础学科研究(basic science)的基本框架,同时也是人工智能书法教学研发的最好的基础性的学术资源。

 

在这里,我想提及的是,21世纪科学家关注着深度学习的人脑视觉神经信息编解码研究。给予书法国际教育“深度学习”教学模式,对人脑视觉神经信息编解码研究有着极大的益处。人类的视觉系统以及大脑具有以某种方式稳定地识别和理解所视信息和输入的数据的强大能力,由于人脑在复杂视觉信息处理方面具有计算机所无法比拟的高效性鲁棒性(Robustness),因此,开发探索书法的科技教学体系,不但是有益于书法模仿教育在人脑视觉神经信息编解码方面的研究,而且对于提高未来人工智能机器在书法科技教育方面的智能感知能力具有重要意义。5G时代的来临,“心印海外书法教学体系将变得更加强大,其自我解说书法教学的能力也更强大。

 

“心印海外书法教学体系”教学将会把几千年文字的文明高效和低成本传播到全世界。我们世界中国学研究会坚持基于未来书法科学教育研究在全球的传播的使命;研究会的“价值革新”思想符合全球21世纪未来发展的科技教育理念,以优质资源与思维来推动东方文化的发展并最终服务于全世界。

 

我喜欢Eric Kandel所说的,“有一天,人们会发现,脑神经科学,你会发现它就像棒球和足球一样令人兴奋。” 科学和技术是指导文化发展与未来出路的唯一途径,文化是科技的基石。(Someday, neurosciece, in fact, brain science, science in general, will become part of the common cultural enterprise…hopefully someday people will find science, and particularly the brain science as exciting as they find baseball and football.)

书法不但与众多学科有紧密联系,同时,也具有其独特的美学体系,书法代表着数千年中国人文学科审美哲学和价值观,尤其是它有着巨大的禅学功能,学习书法给学习者在美学,心灵健康,大脑发育,长寿等方面带来了无限价值。

Greetings from Beijing, China.

 

I am Zhao Hong, Director of John Morgan Global Laboratory of Chinese Writing©, and Professor of Calligraphy, China Capital Normal University. I was a student of famous calligraphers and educators Professors Dakang and Ouyang Zhongshi.

 

In this pioneering work, first of all, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Professor Weihong Yan (John Morgan) to found the World Association for Chinese as well as John Morgan Global Laboratory of Chinese Writing. Professor Yan has done the tremendous work for the establishment of both programs.

 

I would like to tell you that our research center is mainly for non-native Chinese speakers to study Chinese calligraphy. Western calligraphy is different from Chinese calligraphy, Western calligraphy is generally regarded as a process, and Chinese calligraphy, like the Western art, it is an indvidual discipline. From the traditional academic point of view, Chinese calligraphy has multiple functions, such as archeology, philology, poetry, philosophy, history, Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, ink painting and so on. From non-traditional perspective of understanding, Chinese calligraphy is visual art, graphic design and three-dimensional design, and so there are many links. From the second half of the 20th century, brain science and other cognitive science began in the laboratory of calligraphy on the field of human cognitive science links to a large number of scientific data, including the French psychologist's book "xxxxxx" with a large number (MIT Institute for Medical Engineering & Science (IMES)), the University of Pittsburgh Learning Research and Development Center (Learning Research and Development Center, University of Pittsburgh), the University of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh, the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and the Cognitive Science Program (University of Hong Kong) have been working for more than a decade. Chinese calligraphy is also a surprising number of scientific discoveries in the development of the human brain.

In the past 7 years, I have cooperated with Professor Weihong Yan, focusing on the promotion of calligraphy globalization, and have done a lot of research in this field. I have been in the United States to more than a dozen primary and secondary schools to teach Chinese calligraphy.  I often tell the American audiences, "If you understand Chinese calligraphy, you know China." Chinese Calligraphy cannot be lumped in with other artistic disciplines; it has its unique aesthetic system. Calligraphy represents thousands of years of Chinese literature and aesthetic philosophy. It has been a major practice for followers of Zen Buddhism. Therefore Chinese Calligraphy in terms of aesthetics, spiritual health, and brain development is a huge benefit to students of all ages.

 

Learning Chinese calligraphy is a very interesting thing, Weihong Yan, CEO of World Chinese Studies Association founded the world's first "Chinese calligraphy immersion program" at Waddell Language Academy, CMS, NC, USA, 3,500 students have studied Chinese calligraphy. When students of the program shared their feelings about learning calligraphy, they said, "Calligraphy is so great, and it goes beyond any one of the art courses we've learned!"
